A classic mule is made with ginger beer, lime, and lots of ice. This is a healthier twist made with orange juice and iced tea. It is best made with fresh orange juice to maximize the bump in Vitamin C.

Ingredients

Toppings (optional): mint leaves, lime or orange wedges

Preparation
  1. Fill a large glass or copper mug (the typical cup used for mules) with ice. Pour in chilled tea, orange juice, and then club soda.
  2. Stir in vodka, if using. Garnish with toppings, if desired.
Tips

Swap in any fruit juice for orange juice! Try peach, pineapple, or cranberry juice.

Ever heard of cold brewed tea? It's much smoother because the cooler temperature slowly extracts flavour over several hours, which helps prevent a bitter or astringent taste, especially with caffeinated teas. Place 1–2 tea bags per cup of cold water in a sealed container. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight. Use within 4 days of brewing.
